GIVEN an ACTIVE sponsor site subsection assigned to an article or blog post

WHEN the sponsor site subsection has defined tag logic that returns at least one story (blog post or article)

THEN a sponsored related box displays at the bottom or story content directly above Taboola. Location must be:

  • below all story content
  • below any hyperlocal subscription promo
  • below any end of story message
  • if a blog, below About the Author and above Taboola

AND, if defined, the related box title displays above the related content separated by a grey line.

AND, if the related box title is not defined, then the grey line shifts up (no extra white space).

AND WHEN DFP ad slot SP01 (88x31 logo) is flighted

THEN it MUST appear in the sponsored related box, centered at the top of the content list per UX designs

AND WHEN no SP01, THEN the space collapses (no extra white space)

AND a max of five content links display in the box according this this logic:

  • All but the last content item are the most recent blog posts and articles based on tag filters provided for the sponsor subsection in Site service using these fields:
  • “include tags” <comma delimited list of topic tags> [default is OR statement]
  • “must include all tags” Yes/No [changes include tags logic to AND statement]
  • “exclude tags” <comma delimited list of topics> [default is AND statement]
  • If a Sponsor URL and a Sponsor URL Title exists for the sponsor subsection in Site service, then the last content item is the Sponsor URL Title linked to the defined Sponsor URL.
  • If a Sponsor URL and a Sponsor URL Title do not exist on the sponsor subection, then the last content item is a continuation from content item 4.
